Hello:
I owe a lot to my coaches for my athletic success in high school who focused on consistent training (varying endurance & speed workouts for sprinters), weight lifting, diet and recovery. I'm grateful for their coaching expertise. I appreicate their tireless committment to coaching my fellow teammates and me.
I attended IMG Academy's track & field camp in Bradenton, Florida, for two weeks in July 2022 and improved immeasurably. IMG coaches instilled in me additional training skills, knowledge and confidence to complement what I've received from my high school coaches. I appreciate the coaching and wisdom of all my coaches to enable me to pursue my personal goals in track & field; I want to run faster, longer and stronger. It's not easy and doesn't occur overnight. I'm committed to investing the needed time and hard work in pursuit of my goals.
I graduated this June from Cheverus High School, a Jesuit-focused college preparatory institution. Our school is known for piling on the homework, frequent testing and accountability to prepare us after high school. You need to be ready and can't cut corners. I've learned the key to success is time management; budgeting my time each day enabled me to meet the demands of schoolwork and training for track.
I committed to compete in track & field in D-1 at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts this August. I'm excited for this opportunity and have already started training for my upcoming freshman year!
Thank you.
Respectfully,
Brendan Rogers
