Vincent Bonsby '21 Recruiting Profile

Hello my name is Vincent Bonsby.  I am a junior at Sherwood high school in Sandy Spring, MD. I have been a year round athlete, playing football, basketball, and running track.  I have started to focus more on track this year.  I have been a captain for the JV Sherwood football  team as well as the JV Sherwood Basketball team.  I have volunteered as a counselor of a football camp at the Olney Boys and Girls Club helping little kids learn to play, be team member and connect with others. This allowed me to understand the role of leadership and know that little kids look up to athletes.

I come from  a family of seven and I am the only son of the family. Having a large family with four sisters has given me more patience, a good listener, more confidence, and the ability to take criticism well. This helps me whether I am on the track, basketball court, field or classroom. 

Even though I am an all year round athlete I am still able to keep up with my grades. I currently have a GPA of 3.5 with some of the classes being honers. I work hard in the classroom just as hard as I do in the court, field or track.
