Nicholas Costello '12 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Nick. I am a 6'1" runner from a Division 1 high school in Brighton, Michigan. Currently, I am beginning my Senior year and have started all 4 years with my High School Varsity Cross Country and Track teams. During my Junior year cross country season, I won All State and ran a 15:51 at the state meet. My season PR time was a 15:44. I am continuing to work at improving my time.  I was also an All State runner on my schools 4 x 800m relay team running a 1:58.   I was also awarded the All State All Academic award. My Senior year Cross Country season was a success, as well.  I was an All State runner and ran a 15:57 at the State race, 23rd in the State.  My season PR was a 15:47, which was my Regional time. I am part of our 4 x 800m team and have a pr of 1:53. Also, my 2 mile current pr is 9:, 4 x 400m 51.9 and 1600m 4.23 .I currently have a 3.75  GPA and scored a 30 on my ACT. I also was selected to be a part of the prestigous National Honor Society.  I am looking for an institution where I can find the right balance between the classroom and running. I would like to pursue a University with an outstanding academic reputation in the field of engineering. I am a very hard worker and have always dreamed of running in college. I am open to many different types of schools and I do not require a specific geographic location. Ideally, my athletic enviornment would be one where I could make an impact on my team and to run at the highest competitive level possible.
