I started running in 7th grade to keep my weight in-check for wrestling.  Since cutting a few pounds within a short period of time to make weight for wrestling competition is a norm, I found long distance running come in very handy.  At school, I am a candidate for IB diploma, a 3-sport athlete and VARSITY in all those sports since Freshman.

My high school will close for good in 2019. Our student body is small and so is our cross-country team.  Nevertheless,  we lucky to have a coach who made the sport fun and genuinely trying to make us not just a track but also a life champion.  Since Sophomore, I was made captain probably because I am the only runner in my team who can run a mile under 5 minutes.

My primary goal in college is to obtain a degree in Civil Engineering and Finance. I love to read and one of my favorite books is "Intelligent Investor" by Benjamin Grahm. I am also an avid eBay seller and I enjoy the satisfaction of supplying quality products to my customers at an affordable price. I believe success is based more on preparation than on luck.

My SAT score is 1510 and ACT is 33. The courses for my Junior and Senior years are IB Math SL, Physics HL, Chemistry HL, Economics HL, Japanese 2 HL, and English 1 HL.

Besides running, I am a varsity wrestler, VP of Junior Optimist, member of Link Crew and Model UN. I am very competitive, and I always strive to achieve my best to avoid letting my teammate down. I believe I will bring strong inspiration and work ethics to any organization/team. When I have free time, I like to volunteer my time in doing things such as tutoring, food distribution, etc., as a way to meet people and give something back.
