My collegiate goals are to run XC and Track while pursuing my degree. (Currently undecided). I want to be part of a team that is motivated and consistent, and a program that brings the best out of me as a runner.
A guiding principle that helps set me up for success are to always focus on the two things I can control, my Attitude and my Effort. My mindset is that I can be consistent and will be a contributor to the team's success. I'm confident to ask questions when I need too, but also place my trust in the coaches to put the team in the best position for us to compete and win. The last thing is my attention to detail. I believe routines set me up for success and I think I am consistent and proactive in taking care of my body.
I believe I'm a well-rounded as a student athlete as I have a cumulative 3.89 G.P.A. I'm able to be consistently balance academics, running, nutrition and be a supportive teammate. I believe attitude, effort and consistency are the keys to success. Over the past three seasons, these guiding principles have been recognized by my coaches and teammates as I have earned Hardest Worker Award, Rising Star Award, and Team M.V.P. in XC. I was voted captain by my teammates for my junior season of XC and just named Captain by my track coach for my junior season as well. I am proud that I earned captain roles two different ways. In XC, I was voted in by my teammates/peers while track I was chosen through an application process decided by the coaching staff.
I am excited for the journey to continue at the collegiate level!
