Personal Statement

My name is Dillon Brooks, I am a Senior at Perry High School in Perry, Michigan graduating in 2014. I am a sprinter running the 100M, 200M and 400M. . I had a very successful season in 2013 that included the following accomplishments: Broke my own school in the 100M , set last year, and set the GAC Red league record in the 400M in addition to the CAAC WHITE League meet record I set in the 200M in the 2012 season. I was honored to be All State this year in the 100M, 200M and 400M, Honor Roll Champion in the 100M and 200M, named the 2013 Argus Press Track & Field Athlete of the Year and named to the 2013 Track & Field Dream Team in the 100M and 400M. I would very much like to continue my Track and Field career at the College level and have an interest in pursuing a degree in Exercise Science or Sports Management.

This meet is for the top 8 athletes in each event. Best time for the season is used. There are 44 schools competing for these 8 spots. Dillon qualified in the 100 meter and 200 meter and his team was the #3 alternate for the 4x100 relay. Dillon took 5th in the 100 meter with an automatic time of 11.19 and made the podium the 200 meter taking 2nd place and earning a silver medal with a time of 22.50. He will be competing in the State meet on 6/2 in all three events.

Dillon played on the varsity football team starting as a freshman. He plays the position of running back and defensive end. He ran for 344 all purpose yards in the first game of the 2012 season for 3 touchdowns including an 85 yard return.
