Personal Statement
Initially, I planned on running the 1600 and 3200 meter races. But one day I ran the open 400 at 50.00 pace. My coach said that I should consider the 4x400 meter relay. So I started running the 4x400. Our team beat the school record and subsequently, beat our new record for a new school record. I then started running in the 4x800 meter run. We again, set a school record, and then breaking that record two more times. Our boys team won conference last year. That had not been done since 1961. This year we set a sectionals record in the 4x400. We eventually sent 8 boys to the MN State finals. I was lucky enough to run on the 4x400 and 4x800 relay races. I also ran in the open 800 meter run, placing fifth in state. I am so proud of our team efforts this year!
