About a year ago I decide to pick up track and field as a hobby, but have since grew to love the sport. At first I was only interested in events I was sure I’d win such; events such as long jump, my personal favorite, but through the past two seasons my coach has taught to be open to new things and because of her guidance I found myself enjoying the 400m amongst other events. I tell you this story in hopes that it shows my willingness to adapt and put in the work to be better and meet the teams needs. My goal for sum months now has been to participate in division one track and i’m willing to do whatever it takes to achieve it. This past season was tough due to a hamstring injury that delayed my season but I was able through God’s grace participate and succeed at conference and sections. It’s my hope that next season will speak more to me as a competitor and winner. Thank You for taking the time to read this, I hope to hear from you!
