Hello Coach,
My name is Taylor, and I would like to introduce myself. I am a student, coming into my senior year at Corvallis High School here in Montana. Although I am a pretty laid back guy most of the time, I absolutely love sports and to compete. I have wrestled, played football, and ran track over my school athletic career, but my two favorite sports are Track and Football. I play Wide Receiver for my football team, although I started out at Quarterback when I was younger. Both positions are fun, but I think my talent is in catching the football. I have good speed and hands, and think that this is where I help the team the most.
I have ran track now for three years, and have focused mainly on hurdles and relays in the past, but this year my sprinting has really taken off. I lifted weights some this past season and it has made a big difference. I can't wait to see what happens next year. I am going to work really hard in this next year and just see where it leads me. Track wasn't always my favorite sport, but now I would have to say it is pretty even with football. I could see myself doing either in College, so it is kind of hard to choose.
I would say my favorite thing about sports and school is the friendships I make. I really like the time I spend with my teammates and friends. That is what makes it so great. We don't always win, but almost always have fun. If we are not at the field or track, we are usually hanging out together at the movies, bowling, playing basketball at the Primary or just chilling at one of our houses. Wins and loses come and go, but the friendships you make are what will last. I love my high school friends and look forward to all of the friends and memories I'll make in college too.
Academically, I would have to say I haven't done my best. I did not take it serious enough for the first year or so, but have done much better this last year, and think I will really improve my senior year with more studying and hard work. The two classes I really enjoy are English and P.E. In English I like the group sessions where we talk and share ideas about the stories we have read or ones we are creating. My favorite teacher is Mrs.Moore. She has been a huge help with my school work and someone I can talk to when when I am having a hard time. School wouldn't be the same without her help and guidance in the school and on the track.
When it comes to my future, I am not really sure what direction I will go, and I know I don't have to decide quite yet. I want to see and experience so much more that I don't want to decide just yet. I want to try a lot of new things and see what grabs my interest, and am sure it will come to me as I move through my college career.
Thanks you for viewing my Profile. Please give me a call or email if you think that I would be a good fit for your college and team.
