Sports have played a significant role in my life. As far back as I can remember I was always playing something. I am currently in my junior year of high school, and starting my 5th season of track and field. I've been doing throws since I started participating in track, back in the 6th grade. In 8th grade, I took first place in both shot put and discus for the middle school championship.
Coming to high school things have gotten a lot more serious, and the competition a lot harder. However, I dedicate much of my time to this sport. I am well-rounded and make sure I have a full schedule all the time. I play football in the summer and fall, and in the winter I do wrestling. I am varsity for both football and wrestling. This is on top of my year-round throws practice.
Not only do I like physical challenges but I also love to challenge myself in the classroom. I try and maintain my grades as high as possible. I went through my freshman year with my lowest grade being a 97 the whole year. In my sophomore year, my lowest was a 96. I am trying to challenge myself in my junior year by taking 4 AP courses. I am also taking a college English course this summer. I am always prepared and ready to learn new things. Learning is one of the many things I enjoy. I am self-motivated and always try my best, whether it be on the field or in the classroom.
