I started track in the middle of 8th grade. I was in the process of switching schools and my coach suggested triple jump to me because I could jump high. after the move, I pursued it and continue to do it throughout my high school career. as well as triple jump I also started throwing the javelin in 8th grade. my coach always told me I had a good snap from baseball so I tried it out. at the end of my 8th-grade year, I finished the season at the middle school meet of champions with a PR of 88ft in javelin and a PR of 30ft 1 in triple jump. Before my outdoor season was canceled due to COVID I tried indoor track and competed in the 55-meter dash, long jump, and the 300-meter sprint. I didn't continue indoor track after that season. My outdoor season sophomore year was a very good year for my events. throughout the season I threw consistently with throws around 120ft in meets. and consistently jumped around 37ft. I went to the divisional meets for both events. as a sophomore in the divisional meet, I threw a PR of 145 ft and placed 7th overall against all seniors and 1 junior. in triple jump I qualified for the divisional meet as well and set a PR of 39 ft 1inch.
my coaches always described me as a very coachable and dedicated player for their team. I would love to continue track and soccer after high school whether that's in college or wherever those sports may take me. I've set goals to throw 175ft and triple jump 47ft by the end of my senior year.
I dedicate my entire life to track and soccer and being recruited for college is my biggest dream. Nothing will stop me from making it happen.
