I am Jonathan Allard. I am part of the graduating class of 2017 at Keene High School in Keene, NH. I discovered my talent for distance running in second grade and began training my sixth grade year. By the time I left middle school I had improved to third in the State. My freshman year of high school I became more serious about my training and improved my time of 18:21 on the 5k state meet course to a 16:48 on the same course by the end of the season to place 14th in the Division 1 Cross Country Championship. I went on a week later to place 27th at the NH Meet of Champions. My Freshman track season ended with a pr in the 1600 with a time of 4:35 at the Divisional Championship and a week later placing 8th at the NH Meet of Champions. My Sophomore year of cross country, I finished the season with a pr of 16:02 on a 5k course, a 10th place finish at the NH Divisional Championship, 14th at Meet of Champions, and a trip to the New England Championship where I placed 66th at the New England Championship. I Plan to continue to work hard and continue to improve as I complete my Sophomore outdoor season. In school I maintained roughly a 3.55 GPA and my goal is to improve on that as i get closer to my Senior year. My current Goal is to reach a 3.65 GPA. I see myself as a leader in my class. I have recently been reelected as President of my Class, I have held the position of Senior Patrol Leader of my Boy Scout troop in the past, and I am a member of the Board of Directors for Interact, which is a high school group based off of the Rotary Club. For an education I am interested in studying to be a nurse, and would prefer to take some philosophy or theology classes while in college.
