I am Isaac Greene, from Roxbury, New Jersey. My journey in athletics began like most, playing soccer at age seven for my town's recreational team. Although at the time this soccer was my passion, my mom introduced me to Cross country after not making the team the next year. Here is where I began my journey in recreational cross country which eventually would lead me to run a 15:44 5k. Before starting high school I had been running cross country for three years and track for one year. These years prior to high school allowed me to build a strong base that would be able to kick off my high school racing career. Once attending Blair Academy I started the spring track season running a 5:09 in the 1600m and finished the season running a 4:35.97 (in the 800m I ran 2:05.06). The results of my freshman year confirmed in my mind that competitive running was what I wanted to pursue throughout my next three years in High School. Currently, I am looking forward to my next steps academically and athletically in universities and colleges.
I attended Gottesman RTW Academy from the beginning of my schooling until 8th grade when I was accepted into Blair Academy. Since I was in elementary school playing with building blocks, I knew that I wanted to go into a field of study where I would be able to build and construct buildings and sculptures that change the way people think. I find that my passion lies in Architecture due to the creativity that I can express through the art aspect, as well as with the hard-line physics and engineering that come with the reality of building in the real world. I have already begun pursuing this course in the architecture class that Blair offers, and am certain that I would want to continue this as my career at any University that I commit to.
