I am looking for a college where I can reach my academic goals along with my athletic aspirations. My dream is to earn an NCAA title in pole vaulting. Once I commit to something, I do everything I can to make it a reality. I started pole vaulting my freshman year and finished my season with a height of 12'6. My goal sophomore year was to vault 13'6 and I ended the season soaring over 14 ft. Junior year had its ups and downs with a minor injury but by the end of the season I was clearing 14'6 consistently and placed 5th at Meet of Champs. I have also been wrestling for over 10 years. Wrestling has made me mentally and physically tougher as an athlete. This year I made the difficult decision to discontinue wrestling so that I can completely commit to pole vaulting. Up until present time I have not participated in winter track however this past year I realized my future is in pole vaulting and will be competing this winter season. Pole vaulting has undoubtedly become my passion and I believe I will be a valuable asset to your team. Through hard work, dedication and a willingness to learn, I am confident I will excel in all aspects of my university experience!
