Realizing that I had a passion for track and field later than most is something I truly regret. Going from an accomplished freshman year to a cancelled season as a sophomore, was very difficult. As a junior, I never recruited myself but I have the times in the 800m (2:03), and 1600m (4:40), to support my athletic background. But as a 3-sport athlete, I never had time to focus in on just one sport. Once one season ended, another started. And seeing all of the competition around me participate in winter track, cross country, and spring track was something that I never did. I have never ran track other than during the spring for my high school. Now as a senior, I look at my pervious times and can only think of the potential I have to run year-round in college. I know my potential is much higher than my times show, and I am excited and prepared to run at the collegiate level. I still await my senior season and know my times will only continue to improve as I shoot for sub 1:58 in the 800m and sub 4:30 in the 1600m.
