Tyler Cappadona '24 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Tyler Cappadona and I am a Senior year at Hasbrouck Heights High School in North Jersey, class of 2024. I am currently a Field athlete for the HHHS Track and Field team. I throw Discus but mainly concentrate on Javelin, where I completed a very successful 2023 Season.  I have been working extremely hard this Winter to make a big jump in my Spring 2024 numbers, and look forward to continuing my throwing career in College.

In May of ‘23, I won the Group 1, North1 Javelin Championship at the Gene Littler Bergen County Group Championship on 5-12-23 with a PR of 157.57 Feet. Following the County Division Championship, I finished top 7 in the Bergen County Meet of Champions on 5-19-23, breaking my PR twice in this meet with throws of 159.3 and 160 Feet, respectively.  Following the County MOC, I am proud to have accomplished the following:

*Placed in the NJSIAA Sectional Championship in both Javelin and Discus, followed by the NJSIAA GROUP 1 STATE Championship where I placed 4th for Javelin and qualified for the NJSIAA State Meet of Champions.

*Completed the season on June 15th, where I competed in the NJSIAA State Meet of Champions for Javelin.  At this meet, my best throw was 159 Feet, 9 Inches, just 3 inches shy of my PR.  I finished the State Meet of Champions ranked 16th overall and 3rd overall amongst Juniors. 

*Awarded 1st Team, All Conference for the 2022-23 Outdoor Track Season

*On a team level, our Hasbrouck Heights HS Boys Track and Field Team won the NJSIAA Sectional Championship and were named Bergen County Team of the Year.

I also throw shotput for Winter Indoor Track and play Football as an OL/DL for HHHS. I am interested in continuing my athletic career past High School, and would love to be considered for recruitment.
