The moment that influenced me to be the student athlete I am, is when I finished in second place behind my team’s top runner in the state championship race during my sophomore year. This helped me gain a lot of confidence as a student athlete and made me want to continue that hard work and push myself beyond limitations to make myself better as an athlete and as a person in preparation for the college level.
I am proud to say that over my four years as a runner, I have developed many great qualities such as bravery, leadership, and the ability to work hard. I learned the importance of working as a team to become MAPL champions this past season and I learned the true value of what it means to be a leader on and off the course. I am excited to find a program that is a strong academic and athletic fit. I want to build off my accomplishments and continue using my great work ethic that I have displayed as a three sport athlete in high school to exceed expectations as a student athlete in college. I am a dedicated runner and I will put my efforts into becoming the best student athlete I can possibly be and make a positive impact on your program.
