I originally joined track to become faster for soccer. I joined the team this year as a sophomore and immediately fell in love with the sport, making it an obvious choice for me to permanently switch over from soccer. I can’t wait to begin training for cross country and see how well I do. This summer I will be working hard on training, as well as preparing for my SATs. I am fortunate to come from a family of people who work hard at everything they do. My mother has a career in education, and my father is a first responder and former military. Family is extremely important to me. My older sister has been a role model to me, and I want to do the same for my younger sister. At the close of my first season in track, I was awarded the “Mid-distance Runner of the Year”, as well as being awarded a varsity letter for the 800m. This is just the beginning for me and am excited for the future. Academically, I am working hard on my GPA. I am interested in studying Political Science in college. Thank you for viewing my profile, and good luck in your season.
