I have started running and became interested in the sport/exercise since 8th grade. For me, it is weird to look back because I remember one of my main priority sports to play would be basketball because I was really invested in the concept of it and I did play for a little while until I moved schools and from there I started doing track. Something that has driven me into not only doing track but still continue to do it to this day is how running is another escape route for me to clear my mind. I originally started off as a sprinter from 8th heading into my Freshmen year. I honestly forget what got me to eventually switch to distance but I think the switch definitely was something I am 100% happy about to this day as my times have been excellent at least how I see them and I definitely want to reach down to sub-two minutes for the 800 for this final year of high school. After I finish high school, running is definitely what I want to pursue throughout my time in college and I am hoping to continue to not only get the best of the training but also running with great teammates like I have run with throughout my time in high school.
