Joseph Rome '23 Recruiting Profile

I am currently a senior at Toms River East High School located in Toms River, NJ. 

I began throwing shotput as a freshman, and fell in love with the dedication and hard work required to excel at this sport.
Ultimately I would like to continue to dedicate myself to this sport in my collegiate career.  

Beyond shotput, I am a three sport varsity letter winner (Football, Indoor Track, and baseball).  I was selected as the team captain for the football team and I was awarded the 2021/2022 indoor track team MVP award, the 2022 Football MVP award, and most recently the 2022/2023 Indoor track team MVP award.  In shot put, this year I won the Ocean County Championship, 2nd place in the Nj State Sectionals, 5th Place in the Group Championships, and most recently 9th place in the NJSIAA Tournament of champions.

My commitment and dedication to hardwork, and dedication to the sport allows me to excel.  

Academically, I strive for success, and is reflected on my selection as a 2022/2023 student of the month but faculty and staff.

I'm an active member of the history club and F.B.L.A. and I constantly participate in school student organization functions.

My community is just as important, and I am active volunteer for the Field of Dreams program in our town.
