Taking 2nd place as a team at the New Mexico State Cross Country Championship my sophomore year has been the highlight of my high school career so far. Although our team was close to as good the year before, we pushed each other to grow as a team and focus on the main importance of running as a team. In the past two years running for Volcano Vista High School, I've learned that the values of becoming a strong and individual runner are having leadership, commitment, and integrity.
I'm looking for a program that would be a good fit for not only my athletic needs, but my academic needs as well. I believe that a strong education system is key to striving and becoming an individual dedicated to their future and success. The root of success comes from the knowledge of knowing what it takes to succeed and how much you're willing to risk to achieve that success. I know I can develop more and more talent over the years to become just what a college is looking for in an athlete and a student.
