First off I'd like to define myself as a student athlete as which the "student" part comes first for me. As a student I have found myself very competitive not just with other great student athletes but also with the highest reachable standards. Now I also realize that although I could've saved myself the time, effort, and stress of honors classes, college classes, etc., it all rather defines my work ethic than what it will all actually do for me. My work ethic in the classroom has also transferred into athletics for me in the past years particularly as I found a passion for track and field. This has led me to work hard for a better performance, but also to enjoy the process and to remember that it's still about fun and sportsmanship. Now, in the classroom and on the track I may come across as a normal positive character, but when it comes to meeting days/game days or time to really improve on something I may not be very talkative other than to coaches or teachers as a result of my focus towards improving. With all that being said, looking forward to my collegiate experience I hope to become a better student, athlete, and person in general by pushing different limits and most of all getting out of my comfort zone all again by finding the experiences and valuable lessons enjoyable.
