Personal Statement

My goal as a student athlete is to be the most coachable person on the team and the best teammate my peers can rely on. Another important goal of mine is to be one of the top runners in the class of 2026 in Ohio. I am in my fifth year of competitive running. I was first team all league as a junior this fall 2024 and second team all league as a freshman and sophomore in the Fall of 2022 and 2023 in cross country. I assisted my team in winning the league and districts in cross country. I qualified for regionals this fall 2024 as an individual. My team and I finished third at regionals and qualified for the state cross country championship in 2022. I consistently finished top two on my team each race during junior year and top three my freshman and sophomore years. I earned a varsity letter all three years in cross country. I also earned a varsity letter in Spring 2023 and 2024 in track on competitive teams. I placed in several track invitationals in the 3200m run. I assisted the team in winning league, districts, and placing third at regionals in track 2024 season. I placed sixth in our league and eighth in the district for the 3200m run to complete my freshman and sophomore track seasons. I joined the swim team sophomore year to assist with endurance and strength. I excelled at the butterfly and competed in the 500 freestyle, 200 freestyle, 50 freestyle, and several relays. My current PRs are: 3200 10:04.52, 1600 4:52.74, 5000 16:41. I competed in my first 10K in Cincinnati, Ohio and won with a 39.21 time. I have a 3.857 out of 4.0 GPA. I successfully completed a college credit plus biology class as a freshman, which is the hardest of the three science classes for my grade. I am currently taking multiple advanced college credit courses this year (junior year) in different aspects of math as this is my strength in the classroom. I like to consider myself as a quiet and hardworking person. When I have a task to do, I put all distractions aside and focus on my work. My goal is for the team to succeed. I am flexible in running assignments based on team needs. I am passionate about the sport of running. I have a strong desire, determination, and focus to run at the next level.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
