I started running at just 8 years old and fell in love. The mental clarity it provides, the ability to take in the world around me with each stride, the feeling of passing an opponent, and the pure adrenaline on race day; all make running like no other sport. I have fought through injury (still earning an All Conference Honorable Mention as a Freshman) and other challenges, but my love for the sport has not wavered. When it comes to running, I have an unmatched determination. I understand that in order to get better, you need to put in the work and my coaches will tell you I am the hardest working member of the team. I also want make those around me better, to encourage my teammates to reach their full potential. I plan to study kinesiology in the hope to help other athletes achieve their goals as my life's career.
