I luckily made the state track meet my freshman and sophomore years. Both years at state, I no-heighted. Freshman year, we started at my PR and I expected it. Sophomore year, we started at a height I cleared multiple times before and it was just emotionally unbearable after I knew I had come up empty handed... again. The feeling I had pushed me to work hard for the next year straight and make the podium my junior year. My PR raised by 5 inches in high jump and I dropped 3 seconds from my 400M, making me an alternate on the state team. The year after my sophomore year, i decided to take a more aggressive route, but I had an attitude problem. I wanted to be what everybody else wanted me to be instead of who I was already, as well
I want to find a good fitting school, both academically and athletically. My coach has always taught me to stay in the moment and to take responsibility. I am very outspoken on subjects, such as depression and anxiety. I have felt with both and my main goal is to help people overcome those things, which is why I chose sociology as my major. I love to communicate and help others. I have many leadership skills along with athletic ability and I would be a great edition to any team I represent.
