Due to Covid my junior season was canceled. I ran 22.96 and 51.4 as a sophomore. I have developed a lot since my sophomore year and my coaches expected me to run low 22 and sub 50 as a junior. I am still learning how to run the 400 and I am a lot physically stronger than I was as a sophomore. I love track and really want to run at a high level in college. My coaches believe I can run at a high level and I know I can. As a sophomore I made it to the state meet at 6A (highest level). I also ran the PR's in a thunderstorm. I have joined a track club in Portland which I drive 2 hours each way to participate in because there are no sprinters in my area at my level to train with. I have started lifting weights and am discovering I have a lot of natural strength. My coach talks about my untapped potential and how strong I am without having lifted before. I have attached videos of me running and lifting. The state has cut my upcoming senior season short, but my coaches and I believe I will be a 48 second 400 runner and a 22 flat 200 runner as a senior. I am a great student and a dedicated athlete and can provide references to verify my character, dedication, and potential. I just need a coach who needs a 200, 400 runner and is willing to take a chance on an Oregon kid who will not disappoint you. I have only taken the SAT one time and scored 1350. I also have 3.90 GPA as an honors student. I am thankful for any opportunities provided to me.
