Throughout middle school and the early stages of my high school athletic career, I always believed that I was going to be a basketball player. During my high school experience track and field was always just an opportunity to be faster and improve my athleticism on the court. But in a somewhat sudden turn of events I began to fall in love with track and field, as the sport always felt somewhat natural to me. During my sophomore year I began to compete at a higher level and I realized that this is something I truly want to do in the future. I have only been doing track and field for about 3 years, and sprinting for 2 years. I believe that I am still raw, and I'm committed to getting better over the course of my career. Being a team captain for my high school team junior year I developed good habits and leadership qualities that I know will translate to the next level. While competing on the track and on the court , I have also taken 5 honors classes.
