Track and Field was been a go to sport in my life. Track helps me with my bad days and my good days. My whole family has influenced my track career, They are there to support me and guide me if I need it. I became interested in Track and Field at a very young age. I was running ever since I would walk properly. I learned a few things about myself while running, I learned that I could be a positive or negative influence on the team, that I don't need or listen to people tell me that I can't do things, and I learned that I put the team before I put myself.
My academic goal in high school is to keep my grades up, to make honor roll again, and to walk down the aisle on graduation night with a high school diploma. For college, my goal is similar, Get good grades, Study hard, and to get a degree in Criminal Justice. I had a few obstacles to overcome to get to where I am now. My family had a few setbacks that had it tolls on us, but I kept going. For me personally, I had a few setbacks, like I pulled a few muscles a few weeks before our Suburban One League Conference Championship. I was still a tad injured at the time but I still ran the open 400 meter and got 7th place. There was one major setback that got to me for a few days, I learned to use that as motivation to get better, stronger and faster. I personally think I have a few unique skills/characteristics like I am humble, friendly, determined, and focused. Once I have a goal, I do whatever I can to get there.
