I‘be always wanted to be a runner although at first I wanted to be able to run the distance. That dream was dashed in the beginning of my sophomore season when I found out I had compartment syndrome in my calves. So I could no longer try to be a distance runner, so I switched gears and started training to be a sprinter. I was still determined to be a runner and I couldn’t let a little bump in the road stop me. The seniors that season also really helped me through all that I had going on with the compartment syndrome and helped me catch up in Training. now that I’m the upperclassman I’m doing everything I can to help my teammates and make them better. I’m determined to do everything I can to become an elite runner and I would love to lift my teammates up to that level with me.
