My main goals are to compete competitively in college and get an education that will set me up for life. To be completely honest I am not sure about a lot of my future but I am certain I want to be a part of a 4-year university with a team I can connect with and compete with as a family. My biggest aspiration of all is to improve as an athlete and a person on and off the track.
I believe coaches would want me to be part of the team for several reasons. First, I am extremely dedicated to the sport and constantly strive for improvement. In fact, the main thing that makes me different from other recruits and athletes is the passion I bring to every practice and meet. I love my sport and appreciate and look forward to every opportunity I have to improve. I also enjoy sharing that love with others. I have recruited new members to the team and even helped get them set up with equipment by buying them spikes, etc. to get them started. along with that, I take pride in helping my teammates improve too, whether it is working on form or learning a new drill or warmup I love to see those around me better themselves and share the success I have had. I have spent countless hours of my personal time at any open track I could find, and I go to the gym every chance I get on my off-seasons.
Academically I have struggled in the past and let my grades slip, but I made a very important decision that I should spend just as much time working acedemccly as I do on the track. Since this decision, my GPA has improved by .6 in just one marking period and I can assure you that this kind of improvement will continue.
