2022 Highlights Personal Statement
I have been involved in team sports since I was 5. I started with Soccer then Baseball and Basketball. Then, in my 7th-grade year I decided to try XC. I loved it!
My best 5K time that year was 18:44.51, and I finished 7th in the SCHSAA and ICXC 's State Meet.
In my 8th-grade year I began to train, and race not only for myself but for my team. I bettered my 5K pr to 17:12.50 and finished 1st in the South Carolina SCHSAA/ICXC, State Meet. This race motivated me, even more, to commit to training, keeping up my grades, and continue my progress towards earning an Eagle Scout rank.
I’m 1 of 7 kids and have always had a drive to be the best. Currently I have earned 8 SC State titles. With 4 being team titles, which are the most important to me.
At the collegiate level I want to help my teammates achieve Conference, and National titles.
