June 2021Personal Statement
Running has been something that I have grown to enjoy more and more since starting in the 6th grade. I enjoy the competition against other athletes and against myself to get better every time I line up to run a race.
Currently, I am at the top of my respective team and am striving to get to elite status within the state of Tennessee before my senior year. I spent my Freshman and Sophomore seasons learning from great leaders and runners who have helped to push me to a position where I can lead my team in the coming years. I have become a student of running and how my technique can be changed to further advance my skills and then how that can translate to helping my team and teammates achieve more together.
