Born into a family of runners, I began running 5k races at the age of 8 years old. My inspiration stems from close family members; a 1969 Southwest Conference Champion, a member of the 1980 Olympic marathon team, and a Boston Marathon finisher. Through my love of running and wanting to be the best, I’ve found that constant effort can yield winning results. Distance running has taught me that long runs build stamina, hard sprints build speed, and never giving up achieves dreams. I will never give up!
As a rising high school student, I crave to be the best at my craft. My athleticism and academic abilities motivate me to take responsibility for how I spend my time. I aspire to complete business school and become a financial advisor. While achieving this dream, I will balance my running career with studying for my future.
