The first time I stepped on the track my freshman year of high school, I knew I belonged. I felt anxious and nervous, yet at home. I have always longed to continue my track career in the next level after high school, whether running for the biggest and best University, or the smallest. The only thing I love more than running is racing. Last school year I had the best track season of my life; my schools 4x800m team I was on placed 5th at Texas Relays and had a finishing time of 8:01. After that I made it past the district, and area meets, then placed 5th at my regional track meet. I even got to watch one of my friends become a state champion in the 6A 1600m. I was happy after this season, but I'm not settling. I only want to continue doing what I love, and get better at it.
