Jordan Chavez '12 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jordan Chavez. I am 5'10" and weigh 140 pounds. I have been running competitively since the begenning of my 5th grade year. At Southlake Carroll we use the PAAVO running system and I have had the opportunity to run with collegiate runners such as; Colby Lowe, Cj Brown, Neal Smith, and other Carroll Alumni. During my current junior year I was able to lead our team to a 2nd place finish at State, a 2nd place finish at the South Nike National Qualifier, and a 17th Place finish at Nike Nationals. I really have a passion for running and have grown into a great leader for my team. I have a great desire to run collegiately and hope to do so at a high level. I want to be apart of a very competitive team not only amongst teammates but also in conference and nationally. I would like to be able to work my way on to the travel team as a freshman and help contribute to the team as much as possible. I'm a very hard worker and have a "bulldog" kind of mentality not only with running but in school as well. I am a very committed person and have a sincere desire to become better every day.
