Hello my name is Rocky Garza, but please call me Malakai which is what I go by. I am a sophomore at Victoria College which is a JUCO school. I am looking to find a new place where I can call home. I’ve been running since the 6th grade back in middle school and I just got thrown in there by my 6th grade teacher who loves running and she saw me running at the playground and just threw me in. I am an account major and looking to start up my own real estate company whenever I’m older while I’m taking real estate classes to get my licenses. I want to compete and I want to build a bond with my teammates, coaches, professors, and friends on and off the course. I think cross country is not just about individual level, but it is a team sport if us as a team want to compete at a high level and win conference. The same with track and field it’s about working as a team to win nationals, conference, and grabbing personal best in our events. I love to compete and I’ve always loved a competitive atmosphere. I grew up playing football and learned at a very young age what it takes to compete at a competitive level. I am always open to looking at places away from home or even close to home.
