Personal Statement

My athletic goal in high school is to be the best teammate I can be and help my team be the best it can be. My collegiate goals are to run varsity XC and Track and perform well on a competitive team in a University that excels academically. I have been enrolled in the Washington Running Start program at Yakima Valley College during my Junior year with West Valley High School. Due to COVID 19, Yakima Valley College will again be online in the Fall - so due to the desire to be in class in person and other family reasons,  I moved to American Fork High School in Utah and am in their Concurrent Enrollment program through Utah Valley University. I will complete my  Senior year in High School there and will earn my Associate's Degree. I intend to eventually earn my Bachelor's Degree as well and then apply to dental school. I would be a good team candidate as I am a good teammate and am determined to improve in all aspects of my sport. I'm a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and plan to serve a two year mission right after high school so when I return I can have five years to run four. I am the last child in a family of 6 children and have done well in academics including taking all honors or advanced classes. I enjoy running and competing right now at the High School level and look forward to what the collegiate experience can do for my improvement.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
