I got my inspiration of running from my dad. My dad used to run throughout high school and college, even making a name for himself during those times. In middle school cross country and track, I was never the best but I ran decent, getting into the top 10's quite a bit. Once my freshman year started, that's when progress could really been seen. I started out on the varsity cross country and track team and even managed to make it to states as a freshman. My sophomore year was more or less the same, but during track season I was able to become state champion in the 1500m and the 3000m. My junior year, for cross country, I worked very hard to pursue my running career past the state level, and I went onto the national stage during December of 2019, achieving All American.
My goal for this year is to inch my way closer and closer to the low 15/ high 14 minutes for the 5k.
