My goals for college are to graduate with a GPA greater than 3.7, and to attend graduate school after attending a four-year college and earning a bachelor's degree. I work very hard both academically and athletically. I think I would be a good candidate for any team because I work well with others and am completely willing to take a decreased role for the benefit of the team. I realize that the team comes first and am willing to do anything to help my team win.
I first started running when I was 6th grade and have loved the sport ever since. I thrive on the exhilaration I get while running and the great feeling I get inside of me when I PR. By the end of this year (junior year), I hope to be running a 52.5 second 400 and a 23.5 second 200. By the end of my senior year I aspire to run sub-51 and sub-23. By the end of college I would like to run in the 49's for the 400 and low 22's for the 200.
Outside of running and school, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. Some of the activities I like doing with my friends are playing basketball and other sports, and playing video games. I also volunteer at organizations such as KEEN Greater DC and have volunteered at S.O.M.E in DC in the past. I enjoy volunteering because I want to give back to the community that raised me into who I am.
