I am a committed distance athlete that is willing to push through new barriers to get to the next level of this sport. I have goals before I graduate, I want to run 15:10 in the 5k, sub 9:10 for the 3200, sub 4:15 in 1600. As of right now, I am a senior at Atlee high in Mechanicsville, va that is training with coach Neil Matthews. And also another goal for me is to win a state title in xc and in track for both indoor and outdoor and I want to qualify as an individual to go to NXN this fall.
For me to participate at the college level would be a dream to work toward higher goals. For a college degree, I would want to study architecture and business. Other things I like to do in my free time is draw shoes, bake. Things that make me different from all of the other distance athletes is that I will be willing to work harder than anyone else around me, and would be willing to take risks to get better. For me running is based around friends that are like family to you, team bonding time, and other things that make a team strong a supportive team. I know that running is an individual sport but I believe that you need other people around you to help you become a better person and athlete.
