Personal Statement
Track has always been a safe space for me to express myself to the fullest. I’ve made life long friends through this sport. With this sport now I don’t act as a caption i act as someone my teammates can come to for advice, help in school, or with different situations. So, I have my whole team calling me unc even the new kids don’t know me as jaylin they know me as unc. I just believe in connecting with others. For all long time I’ve been forced to do sports but track is what I fell in love with and I am grateful for it and I am not willing to let it end after high school. So I want to see where this sport is going to take me.
