I had never been entertained with the thought of distance running until one of my close friends recommended that I try it in my 7th grade year of middle school. Although I would describe it as a tough adjustment, I soon realized that this was the sport for me. Throughout my years of running, I've come to the conclusion that success cannot be reached without hard work and diligence. These are two things that I attempt to bring to all endeavors in which I participate. I immensely believe that these factors are the main reason for any and all success that I have obtained.
Academics have always been one of my main priorities. Running cross country and track in college is one of my main goals in life; however, my academic success is just as important to me. Similarly to running, I have made a commitment to do all in my ability to reach the peak of my academic success. This discipline and dedication to my activities is what I believe makes me a college caliber runner and student and is what sets me apart from my peers. My dedication, commitment, and discipline will enhance my opportunities for success in collegiate academics and athletics, as well as life after college.
