I have had great athleticism my whole life and have been successful in many different sports such as football, basketball, wrestling, cross country, and track. When I came into high school I decided I wanted to commit to cross country, which was counterproductive to my current aspirations as a decathlete. I have solid marks but incredible potential as my speed and power will grow exponentially as I train for sprints and jumps. My goal for my senior season is a decathlon score of 6500 along with running 11.2 for the 100m, sub 50 for the 400m, sub 40 for the 300m hurdles, low 15s for the 110m hurdles, jumping 6'4" for high jump and 22' for long jump, throw 150' for javelin and 130' for discus.
My education is just as, if not more, important to me as sports. I hold higher than a 3.8 GPA (unweighted) and am taking college classes at Everett Community College through my school's Running Start Program. My goals for my senior year of high school are to maintain this GPA or increase it and graduate with my associate's degree on the path to becoming a mechanical engineer.
