I played hockey for many years before i started running, unfortunately i started running a little bit later than everyone else. I started running cross country my freshman year of high school, and found it to be a particularly hard sport. Which made me that much more into the sport.
During the summer after my freshman year is when i really started falling in love with the sport of running, and thats when i decided to pursue running to become a collegiate athlete.
I have a very competitive nature that makes it so when i fail, i only try harder to succeed. Because of this trait I've been put in a lot of leadership positions where i lead by example. These leadership positions aren't just in sports but also in the classroom. In the class room, i am just as competitive and always trying to improve my skills and learn more from my teachers.
In College, I'm not just looking to be a collegiate athlete but I'm also looking for improving my education. My goal is to improve my knowledge just as much as my running ability.
