The catalyst of my athletic career would have to stem from my competitive gymnastics background that lasted for around 5 years well into middle school. I stopped competing to broaden my horizons and pursue different sports that peak my passion. In 7th grade i joined the track team at my school because i loved to stay active. The supportive and fun atmosphere produced by the team was unprecedented. This atmosphere seemed to be a characteristic of the sport as it has followed me into high school and in many competitions. Track has helped me realize not only the enjoyment of running, but the aura of team spirit in pursuing fulfillment in yourself and team mates. None of this could have been done without the help and support from my mom despite the immense pressure on her shoulders of having to raise me by herself.
In finishing up my high school years i plan to maintain my 4.0 GPA and maintain my exceptional study habits through my college career. I hope the college i attend provides great education in my fields of interest. I function off of a very level headed and proactive attitude which helped me develop stellar time managing skills. I am focused and will get the job done when depended on.
