Ian Lightfoot '17 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Ian Lightfoot. I am 15 and I have been homeschooled since kindergarten, and I just started Virtual Academy (charter school) in Placerville. I have played volleyball for 4 years now, and it is my absolute passion. I started as a libero for my first two seasons, and I am now primary setter on a high school varsity team. We are currently undefeated, and we have not lost since 2 seasons ago. I was a captain in 2014, and we ended up winning 1st place in our tournament in L.A. Volleyball has taken over my life; I breathe for it. But I am also very dedicated to school. I have a 4.0 GPA, and I'll be graduating in 2017. Ever since I was little I wanted to inspire people, and I believe that this is a great way to do it. I am very excited for what the next few years hold, and I can't wait to start playing volleyball at a higher level.
