Joey Garrett '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Joe Garrett, and I'm a hardworking, dedicated volleyball player. I have played competitive volleyball for more than 6 years. I have taken on several leadership roles as the captain of my teams, and I am a team player who has a high understanding of the game.

Knowing that I'm capable of playing volleyball in college makes me even more passionate for the sport, and I continue to do all I can to hone my skills. I will bring self-discipline, commitment to excellence, resiliency, and a positive, optimistic attitude to a collegiate program. I am always the first to arrive at the gym and the last to leave.

When it comes to selecting a college, the ability to continue playing volleyball and ensuring a school is a good academic and personal fit are most important. I am very interested in attending a school in the Midwest or East Coast, but I would also consider a school on the West Coast. I am looking for a campus with a traditional campus life where students live on campus and are very involved in the community. Although I am currently undecided, I hope to attend a school that offers a variety of majors from which I can choose as I explore my major options. My athletic goals are to continue playing the sport I love at a high competitive level and to make a positive influence on my team - both as an athlete and a student. I hope to have the opportunity to show a collegiate volleyball program all that I have to offer on and off the court.
