Volleyball as a sport has changed my life entirely. After playing years of basketball, I finally discovered volleyball, and I saw a future in it. Playing this sport gave me a reason to self-improve in both categories, athletic and academic. Playing a college sport has been my dream since I was young, but it wasn't until I played volleyball that I had begun to devote my life to the sport, (as well as academics). Volleyball trained me to develop a strong work ethic, as playing in college became a goal, rather than a dream. I finally realized that being a college athlete not only required me to work hard on the court, but also off the court, and in everything I do.
I believe I am a difference-maker of a player, as I bring a level of focus and energy to the court that sets me apart from others. I take pride in making sure everybody is doing their job, while still being able to focus on doing mine. As well as focus, I also believe my energy is extremely impactful, as I keep the team's energy at a constant high. I believe also that I am able to outwork any other player, due to my work ethic. I am a hard worker on and off the court, and no matter what the coach or the team wants, I am there to complete that task at 100% effort. I am willing to play whatever role on the team that is needed, depending on what is needed for the team, whether that be a leader or a supportive teammate.
The type of program I am looking for would be a college, prefferibly in California, that provides a business major (management, administration, etc.) I am not opposed to out of state schools, but in-state is preffered. My efforts in the classroom are equal to my efforts on the court, in which I put 100% effort into everything.
