Tyler Resnick '15 Recruiting Profile

My name is Tyler Resnick, I am 6’8” (and still growing I hope) and weigh 215 pounds. I have been playing volleyball since the sixth grade. As a high school freshman I was selected as a starter for the Newbury Park varsity team. This year I continue as starting middle blocker for the varsity team.

My ultimate goal is to play high level volleyball at a top university. To achieve this goal, I take frequent private lessons with my head club coach Aaron Hedland as well as attending camps such as the Dunphy Volleyball Camp at Pepperdine University. To keep in shape during my short off season I play starting set for my high school water polo team and surf when time permits.

I pride myself in receiving the Scholar Athlete award in both my freshman and sophomore years. My academic goal is to achieve a 4.0 or greater GPA through my senior year. I enjoy challenging myself by taking AP and honors classes to achieve this goal.

I really enjoy being part of a team and contributing to a common goal. I get along well with my teammates and bring a positive attitude to the court. I enjoy learning new techniques and ideas to better myself and my team.

I am a player that plays hard at every single play whether it is on the court or in the classroom.
