My first two years in High School were packed full as I participated in indoor volleyball, basketball, and beach volleyball, while still prioritizing academics and extending myself by also taking an AP class. I was fortunate enough to go to C.I.F. playoffs with both basketball and volleyball last year and that really helped define the person and athlete I am today. I gained insight into the importance of encouraging a positive team environment because of how it directly influences success. I learned how crucial it is to taking a leadership role and lead by example, by putting the team before myself and strive to consistently do my best at every practice, scrimmage and game. I have learned the importance of balance by pushing myself both in the classroom and on the court while also maintaining a social and family life.
Entering my Junior year, I cannot wait to contribute to my school and club teams by using my traits of athleticism, intellect and coachability. I am excited to be focusing my passion and energy on playing the single sport of volleyball. With my full attention, I know I will elevate my game to the collegiate level and be prepared to make an immediate impact in volleyball and my college.
